A few weeks ago we had some huge setbacks on our team. Four of our team members have received significant injuries that have sidelined them for the season. Distance expert Trey Baggett had surgery last week on his arm and will be out for the remainder of the season. Matt Daugherty has a torn rotator cuff and is scheduled for surgery sometime this month. He was the fastest distance man in our conference and he PR'd this year with a 5 minute mile. Junior Laura Steinlein, our best jumper, just had surgery in her foot and will have surgery on the other later in the year. Sophomore speedster Rico Sutton is due to have surgery to correct an ankle injury that he received during football season. We miss all of these heavy hitters and wish them well.
