Men continue to dominate the field. Women come in second.

Yesterday the Ayden-Grifton Track and field team had their first home meet of the year against DH Conley. The men’s team won with a score of 83-54. Leading the Chargers were the 4 by 100 meter relay team of Perseus Williams, Jeremy Hardy, Daniel Greene and Marcus Moore, which flew, with a time of 45 seconds. Jordan Cayton dusted the field in the 400-meter dash with a time of 56.20 seconds. Junior Courtney Fuller and sophomore Matt Dougherty both continue their unbeaten streaks in the hurdles and the distance events. The men dominated most of the events and took first place in 11 out of 17 events. The Lady Chargers came in second and were led by Shamira Robertson in the 300-meter hurdles and Elisia Bell that threw a career long 60 feet in the discus. A special thanks to Mr. Mike Metcalf (AGHS Math Dept.)for assisting with the timing of today's meet. The next meet will be away on Monday at DH Conley High School.
